You know that your business will be more successful if you have a blog. Everybody is telling why blogging is so important to do but most of the can’t explain how to do it correctly. One of the main causes of this is that they do not understand blogging enough to tell you the “how” part so they only tell you “why” it is important. At first, you will be intimidated and want to give up or don’t even start at all. But don’t worry because blogging is easier than most other ways of marketing online and can be learned quickly. Continue reading to find out the exact things to do that will make your every blogging effort contribute to the growth of your profits.

Adding an RSS Feed is critical to your blog. RSS is short for saying “Really Simple Syndication.” Most blogs come standard with feeds; even if they didn’t they are easy to install. It’s up you whether you want to use your blog’s feed or one from a third party. Sometimes a third party system is better because it might have further reach across the net than your blog’s RSS; in this case you can use Feedburner who was recently bought by Google.

An RSS Feed is very convenient for your reader because it allows them to stay up to speed with your blog without having to visit. Instead, they get notified through their chosen feed reader that you have posted and they can read your posts at their leisure.

An email will be a welcomed surprise to your visitors. You can set this up to be an automatic reply with a simple “thanks for commenting” message. The better option is to write a short personalized message and email it yourself. Personalizing a message is far simpler than you may think; all you have to do is include the person’s name and briefly discuss something that they might have mentioned in their previous comment. Most blogs and other online entities don’t follow-up with visitors so this will be well received. This is only one of the simple methods that will make visitors loyal to your blog.

You may have the idea of writing a long explanatory post about your blog. You will want to advertise to the world what your blog is going to achieve and why everyone should read it. Before you do this, you should remember that you will soon be writing lots of other posts that will soon make this introduction hard to find. One alternative to this would be to write a page (rather than a post), such as an About Me page, that tells everyone what you and your blog are all about. A page is easier to find, and newcomers to the blog can then learn about you easily. If you decide you are going to make your blog better, there are many ways to do this. Remember, blogging is about more than making money. It can help you find a sense of community in your online niche. Having a blog can help establish you as an authority in your field. It can also help build your audience, which can help you make more money online. It makes sense that, as someone with an online business, that you do want to attract more customers and money.
