A Reverse Logic Article Marketing Tip: Reach New Markets by NOT Writing about the Keywords.
Contrary to standard belief, your article doesn’t need to be ABOUT the keywords you select. Rather, it is wise to spend about fifteen to twenty-five percent of your time writing OUTSIDE of your main target market. This article marketing tactic can really help attract new traffic and possible buyers. This idea is best demonstrated with an actual example.

This article has a solid chance of ranking for the long-tail keyword in the title “Best Hiking Trails in Portland”. Remember this is going to be distributed to 100′s of blogs and article directories, so one of those many versions should get picked up for an exact phrase match.
The amazing part is that you can submit this type of article to blogs outside of the home business, MLM or Network Marketing Leads category because that isn’t what the article is all about. In this example we could submit this article to a “Recreation” or “Outdoors” category tapping into a whole new market.
At the same time, this article and the hyperlinks it contains provide “link juice” in the form of a backlink for the primary keyword terms.
Now you should never run out of a subject to write about because you can write about just about anything that other people are looking for. You just have to be clever in working the keywords into your prose. On a side note, if you are doing article marketing for other purposes, you should really consider Internet MLM. You get superior leverage out of teaching others to do what you are doing anyway. My 2 cents.
